	Astra Continent, Age of Adventure

	This is the Astra Continent, the world of fantasy, where a strong
 push toward modernization followed Industrial Cataclysm. 50 years on
from the end of the war between the Republic and the Empire, the age of
adventure has arrived. Adventurers, treasure hunters and bounty hunters
cross the border between the Empire and the Republic. It is up to you to
face the notorious outlaws and bounty hunters in battle, spy on your
enemies and other adventurers, who wander around the world testing their
strengths and powers. It is up to you whether you decide to compete and
fight against them, or join hands to help them. You must now set foot on
 your journey as an adventurer - keep watch for the secret treasures
handed down from generation to generation from the ancient times, they
may aid you in your quest. However, be warned! This adventure comes not
without risk - and you never know what surreal existences you may
encounter on your path!

	Ryswick the Great

	Axium, dubbed the only empire on the continent today, was not
that much different from other small city-states before it was unified
by Ryswick the Great. It wasn't until he was designated as the Master of
 the Knights that Axium was in constant conflict with neighboring
countries, even though its military power fell short of the elite Iron
Sides (troops) of the military city, El-Tracass.

	However, everything had undergone drastic changes once Ryswick
was appointed to the mastership of the palace knights. The knight troops,
 led by Ryswick and Superion, who he recommended, demonstrated strong
power in combat and started to conquer its neighboring countries one
after another.

	The remaining countries who thought little of it at first were
alarmed by the expansion of Axium. As a result, they formed an alliance
 with the military city, El-Tracass, at its center. Though outnumbering
Axium, the alliance was soundly defeated at the battle on Skerna Plain
succumbing to Ryswick. This led all the city-states of the alliance to
 open their gates to accept Ryswick. However, even the Ryswick
Windsbird, known as the best emperor in the history of Astra, fell
short of completely unifying the continent. The story is that he lost
most of the dauntless knight troops on the deadly battlefield with
El-Tracass and he himself developed some unknown disease. Thus, he had
 to stop the goal of achieving the unification of the continent.

	It is not exactly known why most the knight troops of Ryswick
with the superior military power were killed at the fierce battlefield
 of El-Tracass.

	Following the El-Tracass battle, Ryswick took the princess of
 Axium as his wife. He then took the throne of Axium under the name of
 Ryswick I after the king passed away. This is the start of Axium,
which was formed more than 150 years ago. This story is about its hero.

	Industrial Cataclysm and the Start of a Republic

	Time passed by and then a strong wind of change started to blow
 toward Astra. Around 100 years ago, a machinery civilization called
industrial cataclysm started to be introduced to the region. This
eye-popping change sparked by the invention of a steam engine brought
 drastic changes not only in agriculture and industry but also in every
 other corner of the society.

	Transportation went through great revolutionary development and
those who entered into the transportation business grew to accumulate
huge capital and wealth. Citizens of Axium who had a long belief that
being loyal to power and the authority of king was everything started
 to realize that capital represents another power or authority. Now
appeared those kinds of people who adopted different ideologies that
could undermine the safety of society. Meanwhile, gangsters looted the
 steam engine trains and outlaws that enjoyed gun sightings. All these
 drove the Empire into an unprecedented chaos.

	As the group of bankers, merchants, lawyers grew to have the
power equivalent to that of the nobles consisting of the royal families,
 nobles and the priests, the brains of Axium were divided into two
group: 1) a conservative one that branded the nouveau rich as the force
 posing a threat to the society and looked down on them as slaves and
the machinery civilization; and 2) the reformers who insisted the
capital and the development of the civilization should be accepted with
 modesty.

	Then, about 60 years ago, the Crown Prince of Baron, an extreme
conservative and strong believer of the divine rights of kings succeeded
 to the throne. This led his younger brother and reformist, James, to
take his followers to the south of the continent called Ilys to
establish a republic under the name of Travia, for which he was selected
 as the first President.

	The emergence of a republic fascinated the rich of different
regions, greatly undermining the foundation of the Empire. In the end,
Baron delivered an order to arrest James and other leading forces behind
 the Republic branding
them as traitors. This led to inevitable war between the Empire and the
Republic. Everybody predicted a victory for the Empire as it outnumbered
the Republic. But it did not easily fall into the hands of the Empire as
 it was armed with capital and a science-oriented civilization.

	It was about 60 years ago when the Empire suspended its attack
on the Republic after a huge amount of blood was shed, and the two
parties signed an armistice. This allowed the people to enjoy a moment
 of peace.

	Age of Adventure

	Even though the war was halted, each country kept on building
 their own military on a psychological warfare.

	Amidst this confusing situation, there came a group of
anarchists centered around the regions with low populations. Though they
 called themselves anarchist, both the Empire and the Republic called
them outlaws. With no distinguishing leader at its center, the number of
 anarchists who lived with looting and surprise attacks kept growing in
the midst of the confusion of the society.

	There emerged a hero in the Empire, whose power sagged with
 time. The master magician, Ramitz, started to pay attention to the
power of magic, which had been forgotten by the people after the advent
 of industrial cataclysm. Dreaming of the reconstruction of the Empire
that declined after Ryswick, he accelerated his research on the magic
 with strong support from Baron and strengthened the army of the Empire.
 With the support of the stronger military force, he started to suppress
 the anarchists in the country. The emergence of Ramitz and subsequent
appearance of a strong force irritated the Republic. They belatedly
launched on the research of the magic in secret and developed its own
system.

	It is against the backdrop of the continent that there emerged
a number of people who were willing to test their own power, becoming
quite renowned in the continent as brave adventurers.

	IF. Gunz Updates
	==========

	(From Wikipedia)

	2005-06-09: The GunZ team set up another server to deal with the
high amount of users. Players could then choose between Server 1 and
Server 2. However, users from different servers are not able to interact
 with one another.

	2005-06-20 Server 3 and Server 4 were added.

Two more servers, Server 5 and Server 6, were added on July 29th, 2005,
following the incredible popularity the game has faced. The update disabled
 the replay mode temporarily and changed the netcode.

	2005-08-09 The launcher was fixed, presumably for future Japanese
and Chinese language releases.

	2005-08-02: A minor sound bug was fixed.

	2005-08-07: "Berserker" game mode was added. A small glitch also came
 with it that let players below level 21 to play the expert only maps
(Dungeon and Castle), causing people to think they were "unlocked."

	2005-09-01: The maps glitch was fixed.

	2005-09-15: Fixes to GunZ concerning abnormal termination (crashes)
of the program were implemented. Also, a change to the "Berserker" game mode
 was made. Now, the player who kills the "Berserker" will automatically gain
full HP.

	2005-10-13: The method for "Port Forwarding" was changed. Now you can
set the range for it. Some localization issue fixed. A new animation was
added. Now a player falling to hell doesn't see themselves landing, but
falling into a bottomless pit. Any other object such as health packs and
rockets also fall endlessly. Also some sounds were added/changed.

	2005-10-24: A different way of updating was introduced, making a
Peer-to-Peer (like BitTorrent) update download program. This helped resolve
the issue with bandwidth on their FTP site.

	2005-11-1: The GunZ Team added the Locator Server.

	2005-11-2: Today, they discovered some issues involving 'unidentifiable
IPs'. Very heavy traffic on the website.

	2005-11-14: They were supposed to release GunZ officially, but decided
to postpone the release until they could fix lag issues. The lag problem is
caused by people half way around the world playing in the game. MAIET is
looking to make a Tagalog version of GunZ, and may localize GunZ in many other
 countries.

	2005-11-24: They added a fix so you could see the amount of players in
 a server.

	IG. Frequently Asked Questions
	==========

	*Q: When is Gunz going full version? [UPDATED 11/17/05]
	-A: It was supposed to go full version by now, but of course
like everything with iGunz, we're on the short end of the stick and not
getting it. I personally think we're going to get it until '06.

	*Q. I heard levels are going to be reset when it goes full, is
 this true?
	-A. There is a large chance of character levels being reset, yes.

	*Q. What will be added with the full version?
	-A. Quest mode, more items, the ability to buy premium items
 with real money, the Port map, new maps for lvls 40+.

	-Q. What are premium items?
	*A. Regular items or specialty items with more AP, less weight,
 etc. They will be items you have to pay for with actual cash, or win
in quest mode. Premium items are currently not available, with the
exception of the Bugfree Jacket, which is given to Gunzforum Mods.

	*Q. What is Quest mode?
	-A. Quest mode is a gameplay mode currently in kGunz and jGunz,
but not in iGunz. You can fight monsters and get items. Most of the maps
 use the same game map tiles as maps you're already familiar with (for
example the first level is an alternate Garden). You can team up with
other players to play as well and it's recommended, because playing
by yourself makes you dead pretty fast.

	*Q. What are iGunz, kGunz and jGunz?
	-A. Abbreviations for International Gunz (the game you're
playing), Korean Gunz, and Japanese Gunz.

	*Q. Is it illegal to play kGunz?
	-A. Yes, unless you are a Korean citizen it is illegal to play
kGunz. You must log-in with a Korean SSN.

	*Q. Who is Pushad and why is everybody talking about him?
	-A. Pushad is a person who found some very critical flaws in
the Gunz code, which make it very easy to hack. He said supposedly
anyone could hack the game. He has contacted MAIET about these
loopholes, but they didn't respond. To prove a point, he went into
the game and made everybody mass suicide every 5 seconds, forced
people to buy dozens of daggers (thus making them poor), and deleted
characters. His reasoning was, if he can do this in beta, when
everything is free, what would happen when Gunz went full and people
 were actually paying real money for premium items? I support his
cause, personally. However, I really dislike the number of hackers
that have popped up in his wake.

	*Q: What is the Port?
	-A: The Port is a map that was included in kGunz, but not
iGunz. It's a map very similar to Town, but it has many tables set
at the port, with a boat sitting at the dock. There's also an open
area with a lower grassy pathway and a very long, curved, large wall.
The rest of the map is very claustrophobic and has many alleys.

	*Q: What is debug mode and how do I play it?
	-A: Debug mode is a game where you don't connect to the
server, and you are the only player. Your character is MAIET, a
female redhead with no armor, a rocket launcher, machine gun, a
4pack of triangle seaweed that is only a tossable item. Seaweed is
edible (and actually pretty damned tasty) so I theorize this is
actually supposed to be some sort of health recovery item that was
never utilized.

	How to play in debug mode:

	1: Go to your Gunz folder.
	2: Find Gunz.exe and make a shortcut to it on your desktop.
	3: Right-click the shortcut and go to "properties."
	4: The target should be "C:\Program Files\MAIET\Gunz\Gunz.exe"
	5: Without the quotes, add " /game "MAP" debug"  0 0". There
should be that space before /game.
	6: MAP is going to be the name of whichever map you want to
play in. So if you want to play in the mansion, you'll type in
" /game "mansion" debug" 0 0". If you want island, put that in
instead. This is how you can play in the Port if you have the .mrs
file.

	Once you're finished playing, exit the whole game, because
you might not be able to leave if you exit to the lobby.

	*Q. My ping from others is always 999/ I can talk with others,
 but I cannot see their movements/ I keep getting agent errors!
	-A. http://www.gunzonline.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=8&PN=1

	If you cannot communicate with another player, his ping will
display as 999 (use TAB to see the status). If you see this problem but
 you are able to interact with other players, then your network is fine.
 But if you cannot see other players' movements, it means that there is
 a problem with interacting with other players. Many people call this
situation "Ping 999 problem". Original GunZ supports players under
NAT/Firewall/IP Sharing Router network, but unfortunately it is not the
 case for International Edition, because doing so requires high-end
hosting servers. Currently we plan to implement the support by official
 release date. Until then the users of NAT or Firewall may have problem
 with playing GunZ properly. If you're behind Firewall, please contact
with your network administrator or ISP to resolve this problem.

	If you're using IP sharing router, however, there is a way to
resolve the situation. GunZ supports "Port Forwarding", and you can set
the feature with your IP sharing router. Most IP sharing router support
"Port Forwarding" (To learn how to set up Port Forwarding, please refer
your router manual). After making changes, press "option" in game and
check network configuration. Enter port number from the router into the
 port number option box. (This tip may come in handy in improving
network performance even after the support for NAT/Firewall/IP Sharing
 Router becomes available.)

	http://gunzonline.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=20036&PN=1

    * Check to see if you have a firewall enabled, this maybe the default
windows XP firewall or an external item like a router, if so check to see
if this program or hardware allows the same port as gunz wants to use to
pass through.
    * If you do not use a router or firewall and the problem is appearing
from using the modem directly, some company stocked modems feature built
in firewalls (like most microsoft cable modems do), these can only be
edited by the ISP, a program they gave you or on there special website
with management tools (not many have this problem though)
    * Try changing the port that gunz uses by going into the gunz menu and
 editing the number, some people have had good luck with this method for
unknown reasons, maybe your pc hates port 7700.
    * If you use a router or a fiewall that supports the same sort of
features, make sure ports 7700 are open as well as any other port you
change to in the gunz menu, this has helped alot of people.
    * If your internet speed is slow, your max players per game is limited
 by quite a bit, some 512/128 internet users may find there fine with 8
players but lag to 999 for everyone if in a 16 player game.
    * Some times, all you need to do is relogin into the game ** If this
is your first time getting 999 Pings.
    * For more information on Networking, check this post :
http://gunzonline.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=20025&PN =1

	*Q. I/someone doesn't give experience when they die, or they have
no deaths, despite being killed many times.
	-A. This is a problem that happens when the game is played from
the .exe file, instead of the Gunz Launcher.

	*Q. Help! When I try to play I get a critical error and the game
 closes! The error reads: "This program has encountered a critical error,
 and will have to be terminated. To fix the problem, we highly recommend
you send your system specifications and memory status now. If you press
'Accept', GunZ will gather your system specifications, such as your OS,
amount of RAM, Video Card information, current memory dump, etc. and send
 this information to MAIET entertainment, Inc. This information will only
 be used for program enhancement."
	-A. This is a frequent problem starting the 11/24/05 update. It
causes the game to crash randomly, but mostly during the loading screen.
There is no known solution to this problem at the time. The only way to
get past it is to keep trying to play the game.

----------
II. The Basics
----------

	==========
	IIA: Keyboard Layout
	==========

The basic default set-up of Gunz uses the WASD keyboard layout
found in many shooters.

	Forward:		W
	Backward:		S
	Strafe Left:		A
	Strafe Right:		D
	Jump:			Spacebar
	Shoot/slash:		Left-mouse click, left ctrl
	Second Slash:		Right-mouse click
	Guard:			Shift, L+R mouse click
	Reload:			R
	Melee:	 		1
	Primary Gun: 		2
	Secondary Gun: 		3
	Item #1: 		4
	Item #2: 		5
	Prev. Weapon: 		Q, Wheel Up
	Next Weapon: 		E, Wheel Down
	Chat: 			Return
	Team Chat: 		'
	Main Menu: 		ESC
	Game Status: 		Tab
	Taunt: 			`
	Turn off/on msgs:	V
	F1-F8:			Macros
	Record game:		F12
	Screenshot:		F11

	Your character's aim and movement is also controlled by
the mouse. Besides this set up, a common alternative is to switching
Melee, Primary Gun, and Secondary Gun from 123 to QEF. This helps
if you have smaller hands (like I do). I personally suggest learning
to switch weapons with 123 or QEF, since switching in between with
these keys are faster than using the scroll wheel. Later in the game,
when you encounter very skilled opponents, using the scroll wheel
will hamper how fast you can rotate between weapons. I know this
because I initially used the scroll wheel, and now I have to relearn
using QEF.

	Your character's life is determined by how much HP (Hit
Points) they have. AP (Armor Points) is additional soak damage which
you get from your armor and equipment. WT (Weight) is how much your
 character can carry. Once you run out of HP, you are dead and will
 randomly respawn after 5 seconds.

	==========
	IIB. Movement
	==========

		==========
		IIB1.Tumble
		==========

	To tumble, double-tap the direction you would like to go. You
 must be equipped with a gun or grenade to tumble. Tumbling is the
most basic of movements, and while good to learn, dashing is much
better.

		==========
		IIB2. Dash
		==========

	To dash, double-tap the direction you would like to go while
equipped with a melee weapon (sword, kodachi, or knife). Dashing is
a better way of moving than tumbling; you move faster and the
movements are shorter. You are highly maneuverable while dashing,
 and you can switch directions quickly. The dash is the basis of the
Korean-Style (K-Style) movements, which we'll discuss later in this
guide.

		==========
		IIB3. Air Tumble
		==========

	To air tumble, jump and then double tap the direction you
would like to go. You must be equipped with a gun or grenade.

		==========
		IIB4. Air Dash
		==========

	To air dash, you must have a Melee weapon equipped. Jump and
then double-tap the direction you would like to go. This will cause
you to burst in the direction you press. If you are high enough in
the air, you can dash twice, and maybe three times.

		==========
		IIB5. Guard
		==========

	Pressing SHIFT while equipped with a sword or kodachi (not a
 dagger!) you can block blade attacks and bullets aimed at the upper
part of your body. You will raise your blade for a few moments. You
cannot perform any other special action while guarding. While the
Guard is useful for frontal attacks, you can still be attacked
from any other direction. If you block another sword attack while
Guarding, you can instantly perform a Massive Strike!

		==========
		IIB6. Massive Strike
		==========

	While equipped with a Melee weapon, press and hold attack.
Your character will perform a charging animation and your blade will
 begin to glow. Once your weapon is fully charged, unleash a Massive
Strike by pressing attack again. This attack will deal more damage
than a regular Melee strike, and will also stun your opponent for a
 second or two!

		==========
		IIB7. Stun
		==========

	While equipped with a sword or dagger, right-mouse click at
your opponent. This will make you perform an attack which can be
used to stun your opponent. With a sword, it will cause you to bat
 your opponent up into the air, fall and hit the ground. If using a
 dagger, your character will rush forward in a straight line and
knock down your opponent.

		==========
		IIB8. Safe Fall
		==========

	If you happened to be stunned by an opponent, quickly press
jump (space)! If knocked into the air by a sword, you will backflip
and land on your feet. If knocked down by a dagger, this will allow you
 to recover from being pushed over. This is crucial to know if you're
up against someone who likes to use Stun n' Gun tactics.

		==========
		IIB9. Wall Jump
		==========

	Run towards a wall and jump at it. Once you've reached the
wall, press jump again. This will cause you to backflip off the wall.

		==========
		IIB10. Wall Run (Vertical)
		==========

	Run towards a wall. Once you've reached the wall, press jump.
This will make your character vertically run up the wall.

		==========
		IIB11. Wall Run (Horizontal)
		==========

	While running diagonally at a wall, press jump. The angle should
 be less than 45 degrees, or else you'll just bounce off the wall. This
should make your character run up the wall and across it. You will run a
certain amount of time before flipping off of it. To cancel the Wall
 Run early, press jump while running.

		==========
		IIB12. Wall Hanging
		==========

	If you are equipped with a melee weapon, jump at a wall and press
Second Attack (right click). Your character will stick their sword into
the wall and hang there. This is perfect for saving yourself from a fall
 into Hell. Once you've stuck your sword into the wall, you can press
jump and your character will jump straight up from their hanging position.
Once you've jumped, press secondary attack again, which will make your
 character once again stab the wall. You can do this repeatedly do
climb up a wall or pull yourself out from a pit. I wouldn't suggest
"hanging around" for a long time, as it makes you a very easy target.

		==========
		IIB13. Cartwheel
		==========

	Jump towards a wall sideways and press space (jump) on the
wall. Your character will cartwheel off the wall. Pressing the same
direction that your character jumps off the wall will make them move
even further.

	IIIB. Clan Commands
	==========

	A clan is a group that share the similar purpose. Using this
 function, you can chat with your clan members whereever you are. You
 can also join a "Clan-War" with clan members.

	To open your own clan, you have to check the following list,

	-The clan master(the person who opens a clan) needs 1000 BP
to organize a clan.
	-The clan master is required to acquire four members in order
 to form a clan.
	-Those who have not joined a clan before are not qualified
to become a clan master or promoter.
	-Both the clan master or promoter should be at the level of
 10 or above.
	-The maximum number of clan members is 64.

	Once all the conditions above are met, the clan master and the
 promoter can create a clan gathered around the same server and
channel. Upon activating the "Clan List" you would see a menu, "Create
a Clan" on the screen as you have not joined a clan yet. Press the menu
to activate the dialogue channel for
clan creation.

	With the exception of /clan leave and /clan msg, clan commands
 are only usable by the clan master or an admin.

	/clan open
	Start a new clan with promoter.

	/clan close Close the clan currently
 open.

	/clan invite 		Accept the designated
character as a new member.

	/clan leave				Voluntarily withdraw
from the clan.

	/clan dismiss 		Force the designated
character to secede from the clan.

	/clan promote  	Change the
authority of the selected character within the clan.

	/clan msg Enter a dialogue in
the clan chatting channel. You can clan chat easily by attaching # in
 front of a dialogue when not using this command.

	==========
	IIIC. Color Commands
	==========

	You can used colored font when you type. Just type ^#, the #
being the color of what you want your font to be. Do not use a space
after the number. So, if you wanted to say 'Hello!' in red, you'd
type '^2Hello!

	0: Dark Gray
	1: Red
	2: Green
	3: Blue
	4: Yellow
	5: Dark red
	6: Dark green
	6: Dark blue
	7: Dark yellow
	8: Brown
	9: White

IV. Getting Started
----------

	Okay, so we've got all the basics down. You know how to move,
you know how to shoot, you how how to chat. It's time to get this party
 started. Load the game and once the Gunz loader has finished checking
for updates, start the game. After it loads, you will be prompted to
make your handle and password if it's your first time. From there,
you can choose one of six servers to play on. There's no real
difference between servers, but certain people and clans only play
 on specific servers.

	==========
	IVA. Creating Your Character
	==========

	First thing to do is make a name for yourself, which is
entirely up to you. Offensive names may be banned, however. From there,
 you can customize your character's general looks, but right now
customization is limited. Asides from choosing your looks, you can also
 choose your class. There are six classes available:

	-Axium Gun Knight
	-Axium Gun Priest
	-Axium Assassin
	-Travia Gun Fighter
	-Travia Doctor
	-Travia Scout

	Which class you choose ultimately affects nothing; the only
difference is what they come equipped with. The general census is that
 the Travia Gun Fighter is the best starting class, as it comes equipped
 with dual Renard SMGs. Some also like using the Travia Doctor so they
can sell the extra items for new weapons and armor, right off the bad.
The next time you log in, you can select your character from this
screen, create a new one, or delete it. You can create as many as 4
characters, if I remember correctly. If you want to create more, you can
 always open a new account.

	==========
	IVB. The Lobby
	==========

	The Lobby is a general hub area from which you can chat, select
your game, or change your equipment or options. Chat and games are
divided into channels. You can select new channels on the top bar of
the screen. Under General channels, there are three Free channels, two
 Entry Level channels (lvl. 1~5), two Beginner channels (lvl. 6~10),
two Veteran channels (lvl. 11~20) and two Expert channels (lvl. 21+).
 When you first join, you will be placed in one of the Entry Level
channels, and as you level up, you'll be placed in the others
accordingly. You cannot go into a different level channel (ex. a lvl 9
 cannot join the Entry Level channel). There are two other main
channels; Private and Clan. Private is a personal channel you can
 create, and Clan channels are for, of course, clans. If your character
reaches a high enough level, you will no longer be able to join
Entry-Level channels with new characters, and will have to join Free
Channels.

	Games are channel specific as well. For example, if you are
lvl. 3 and made a game in the Entry Level channel, someone from
Beginner wouldn't be able to find it on his/her channel. Free
channels, however, are for any level to play. If you are new and low
 leveled, I suggest not playing in Free channels, as anyone would be
able to come in and slaughter you unless you specifically limit the game
 to a certain level.

	On the lower right-hand side of the screen, there is a box that
lists who is currently in your channel, in your friends group, or in your
 clan. A green 'L' indicates that they are in the Lobby. A blue 'G' means
 that they have joined a game, but haven't started playing. A red 'P'
means they are currently in-game and are playing.

	In the lower left-hand side of the screen, it lists general stats
 about your character:

	[Name]
	[Clan] is the clan you are in, if any.
	[Level] is your character's current level.
	[Exp] how much experience your character has.
	[Bounty] is how much cash your character has.
	[HP] is the maximum amount of HP you have.
	[AP] is the maximum amount of AP you have
	[WT] is expressed at #/100.

	Most of the screen is dominated by the game selector. Under that
 are three buttons: Join, Create and Play Now! Clicking 'Join' will send
 you to the game you've chosen, clicking 'Join Now!' will instantly find
 you a game to play, and 'Create' will let you create your own game. There
are a few kinds of Gunz games:

	-Deathmatch: A deathmatch is a battle royale where you can use
both guns and melee weapons. (Abbreviated: DM)

	-Team Deathmatch: A team deathmatch is exactly what it sounds
like. Teams are divided up by Red or Blue, and you can decide which team
 to be on by the game intrusion screen. Once you are killed, you must
wait until the match is over until you respawn. (Abbreviated: TDM)

	-Gladiator: A gladiator game is a deathmatch where you can only
 use Melee weapons.

	-Team Gladiator: A gladiator game using the team format.

	-Assassin: Again, another team game. You must kill the specific
 person who is set as the mark. Their name is purple.

	-Berserker: Berserker is like Assassin, except a specific person
 is the berserker. The berserker's attacks are stronger than normal and
 they also get more experience from kills. When Berserk, your life will
slowly drain if you're not killing people. When you kill someone, you will
absorb some HP. Whomever kills the berserker will take their place.

	Creating your own game is rather simple. Click create while on
the lobby screen. Select your game's name and how you want to set it up.
 You can change the kind of game, the location, how many rounds it will
go for (rounds being the number of kills) and you can set other limits
 under options.

V. Playing the Game
----------

	==========
	VA. General Gameplay Etiquette
	==========

- FOLLOW THE GOLDEN RULE. Do not act towards people in a way you wouldn't
 want them to act towards you. I cannot say this enough times. Do not be
an ass. You may be a 15 year old, but try not to act like one. Some
people who will intentionally pay your smartass remarks back two-fold and
specifically decide to kill only YOU because you decided to act rashly.
I've heard about people following others from game to game, just to make
sure they've learned their lesson.

- Going 'wa,' 'aw,' 'asa,' or 'sawsaw' is annoying. Do not do it. EVER.
For those wondering what these even are, they're Filipino words that tend
to be spammed quite frequently, even by people who are not Filipino.
	Asa means "you wish."
  	Sawsaw means "Killstealer."
  	Wa is crying like a baby because they died.

- If spamming requests in the lobby for killswapping didn't work the first
five times, what makes you think the other five will be any different?

- Stop complaining, nobody wants to hear it. As Nothingxs said on the
GunzOnline forum:

	"I'm just going to close any threads that argue if we should have
slashshooting or not. I'm also going to close any threads where all you
do is whine about how people spray and how little skill it takes to do
such.

	If they're killing you, THEY'RE not doing something wrong. YOU
ARE. Learn, get better and adapt. Complain here and you'll watch me lock
 your thread.

	Neither are going away, they're going to stay forever. If you have
 ideas on how to EXPAND on the game, then you can make a thread about that
 in the SUGGESTIONS SECTION. If you're just going to condemn how people
play and the people who try to learn or play in that style, then please
go whine about it to your friends on AIM instead.

	Noone cares how unbalanced you think it is if all you're going
to do is whine at the top of your lungs. We've had a few big threads
and countless smaller ones about it, already. Enough is enough."

- Nobody likes drama. Do not get ticked off because someone killed you.
 Chill out, go make a sandwich. Do not be a vindictive punk and try to
 get someone kicked because they're better than you. Follow the Golden
 Rule and you'll be fine.

- Dagger noobs are annoying. What's a dagger noob? A dagger noob is a
person who spams the dagger's thrust-attack repeatedly and usually won't
 let the person get up by using the attack over and over. It's most
often used by people newer to the game, or in general people lacking
skill. While this move does relatively little damage, it quickly becomes
frustrating to the person being felled, and leads to a rather tedious
death. It's also common to thrust attack someone and shoot them while
they're down. While this is OKAY to do, making it your primary skill is
NOT.

- Meanwhile, calling someone a sprayer noob is also annoying. The
solution? Move faster and don't stand in clusters.

- Do not run around randomly accusing people as being hackers if they
 are simply better than you. If someone is hacking, it is usually
obvious.

- Some people will hate you for typekilling, or 'tking' (killing
someone while they’re typing). You can tell someone is typing if a
speech bubble appears overtheir head. It's generally frowned upon to
kill someone when they're typing, but then again it's the typer's fault
 for standing there. The solution? Type when you're dead or don't
complain when someone kills you. If someone sees you typing and decides
 to pass you by instead of killing you, return the favor and don't shoot
 them in the back. I personally, usually won't kill someone who's typing,
but don't put it past other people.

- Certain people like to establish rules for games instead of
free-for-alls. The three most common kinds of rulesets are "Bow rules,"
"naked," games and "25 rejoin" games.

 	"Bow rules" are straight forward: all duels are 1 versus 1 and
 you must bow to a person before you engage them. The other person must
 acknowledge your bow by bowing back. Wait a moment after your opponent
 bows and then fight.

  	"Naked games" are like they imply; no hats, shirts, pants,
 gloves, or shoes. This guarantees quick kills and a high killcount.

  	"25 rejoin," is a game when the time is set to infinite and the
 kill limit is set to 30. Everybody plays normally until a person gets
 25 kills, at which the person with 25 kills will exit the game and
rejoin. The purpose of this is to continually keep the game going with
 everybody getting as much experience as possible. When someone reaches
 25 kills, remind them of how many they have and ask them to rejoin.
 If someone doesn't seem to be paying attention or is ignoring the
rules, kick them once they get to 26 or 27 kills (the reason you have
the limit set to 30 is a cushion time). As a player in the game, it is
your responsibility to help keeping the game going and voting 'y' for
someone with over 25 kills. If you see people saying that they can't
start the vote, do it yourself.

	It's not uncommon to have combinations of games, like naked 25
 rejoin games. These kinds of games tend to go much faster if it's a
Berserk game, so everyone is racking up kills even faster.

- Do not be intentionally annoying by going into a naked game clothed,
 or randomly slashing in bow rules or intentionally getting 30 kills
in a 25 rejoin game. If you decide to do so, expect to be kicked very
 quickly. If you see someone violating the rules, kick them yourself.

- One of the main problems with bow rules and naked games is that not
everybody speaks English (or pretends they don't. The best way to
 deal with this is to make a passworded game and cite the password in
the title. An example would be "NAKED GAME PW=NUDE," 'nude' being the
password. Unfortunately, people will still rack up 30 kills.
Apparently, they know enough to get the password, but not to follow
the rules.

- People like to use Training mode to practice, or just fool around.
Don't assume that everybody is just running around shooting. You're
not getting any experience for killing people, so it's kind of futile.

- Common phrases:

	Killswap- Two people usually go into a private game and take
turns killing each other. This is a quick method for experience at a
lower level. Some people despise killswappers for some reason or
another.

	Mamuteo- Spanish for killswap. Tends to be spammed constantly
by Spanish-speaking Gunz players.

	Slashshot- Abbreviated 'SS'. An advanced technique where a
person slashes with a sword midair, then fires a gun immediately after.

	Butterfly- Abbreviated 'Bfly' or 'BF.' An advanced technique
where a person slashes with a sword midair, followed by blocking
immediately after.

	VB. Gameplay tips
	==========

- Don't trust your hitcounter, because it might not always be correct. You
might unload a clip into the enemy, but it won't matter because they have
300 ping!

- About ping: Ping works both ways. If your opponent has 100 ping, your
comparible ping is also 100. Another person's ping might be 150 to you, so
your comparible ping is also 150, and so on and so forth. Calling someone
a lagger unless their ping is significantly higher than everyone else's
means you're an idiot. Anything about 70 ping or less is good. 100 to about
150 is noticable, and you'll find this is common on 16 player DMs
with people across the world. This isn't necessarily good ping, but it's
not horrible either. Ping higher than 200 definitely qualifies as lag. 999
ping means their connection is shot, or some other sort of problem.

- If you're just starting out in the game and need some practice, make
your own passworded game. Of course, since nobody knows the password,
nobody is going to come in and disturb you. Try not to use common passwords
like 'lol'.

- Armor absorbs most low-range damage, like partial blasts from a shotgun,
or splash damage from a rocket. Spike damage (high-range single attacks),
like shots from revolvers and full blasts from shotguns may bypass armor and
 hit life directly.

- Start saving money before lvl 10 so you can immediately afford the new
armor you'll be getting. You won't get new armor until lvl 10 on.

- If you're an AP freak and don't care about weight, the best set-up you can
 use is:

Miz Leather Coat (WT: 20, AP: 28)
Miz Leather Trousers (WT: 15, AP: 25)
Ares Iron Shoes (WT: 8, AP: 20)
Ares Iron Gloves (WT: 8, AP: 15)
Altema's Ring 		(WT: 2, AP: 10)
Altema's Ring 		(WT: 2, AP: 10)

This gives you a grand total of 108 AP and 55 WT.

Personally, I wouldn't suggest using it, since that's AP overkill and you'll
never need that much. Plus, you're neglecting to take in what weapons you want
to carry with you.

	 	VB1. Deathmatch Tips
	 	==========

- When playing a gladiator game in a map with pits, i.e. Dungeon,
Island, dagger users will try to use the thrust attack to their
advantage. They'll repeatedly try to thrust you into a pit. A good, but
 slightly risky way to deal with them is to wait at the edge of a pit
and wait until they try to thrust you, and jump over them. Hopefully
they'll go sailing into the abyss. If not, turn around and attack them
while they stand at the edge. The most important thing to remember is
that you have to pre-emptively predict when they'll START to do the
pullback animation for the push; by the time you see them pulling back
 to thrust you won't have the time to jump over them and they'll hit
your legs. Another tactic is to stand so that you're parallel with the
 walkway you fall onto. People will repeatedly try to thrust or juggle
you over the edge, but so long as you have plenty of room to recover
from the fall, you'll be fine. Since they'll be trying to juggle you,
you can get right up in their faces and slash them. Let's say this is
the T-shaped staircase in the Dungeon:

 _____________
| <------* #  |
 -----| |-----
      | |
      | |
      ---

The # is your enemy, the * is you and the arrow (<-) is the direction
you'll be falling. While they repeatedly try to flip you, you'll have
plenty of room to fall back on. Once you feel that you are too close to
 the edge, jump over their heads, turn around, and attack them. The
good thing about this particular place is that even if they push you off
 the edge, you still have the staircase behind you to fall onto. Keep in
 mind, if your enemy attacks you from an angle, you will go that
direction. This only works while both of you are parallel and facing
each other.

-Always be aware of enemies. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean
they aren't there. I suggest looking behind you occasionally to make sure
you aren't being followed. Assume you're dashing down the street in the
Town map. It's a wide open space, so someone could easily spot you from
down the street and open fire on you. So you've got to learn how to check
 behind you without significantly slowing down. Learning how to jump,
turn in mid-air, and continuing to dash backwards is a good way to do so.

- Don't underestimate the power of controlled spraying. Taking your time,
aim correctly, and only fire when you're sure you'll get a shot. Wildly
blasting into a room will get you owned by someone who is more agile. I
predict where someone is going to be and

- I've talked with a few people who say that level means nothing. I feel
this is incorrect. While level is not always a good indication of skill,
there is a difference between levels. For example, my character was
level 25 and I was in a dungeon. A level 36 came up behind me and popped
me twice with a pair of Minic 567 MK.IIs, and I dropped. The instant I
turned level 18, I bought a Maxwell LX30 and went into a game. I've
never killed so many people so fast before, with so little effort. These
 people were all in the same level range as I was. "Yes, yes, that doesn't
mean blah-blah-blah," no, levels can make a difference if you know how to
equip yourself for victory.

- You should equip yourself differently for different kinds of games, or
even different maps. Being a sprayer in a DM will rack you up plenty of
kills, but in a TDM, spraying might not work so well and a
revolver/shotty for SS and mght be optimal. I've noticed that kStylists
usually don't play in DMs too often, but are usually the norm in TDMs.

- Avoid getting in between opponents like the plague! Getting in between
enemies means you're going to get pelted with a hail of bullets and
chances are both opponents will attempt to kill you instead of each other!

- Predict when your enemy is going to reload and rush them! This provides a
 great opportunity to get a few shots in.

		==========
		VB2. Team Deathmatch Tips
		==========

- The best way to fight is in a pack, assuming your rival team splits up
like most do, your whole team should be able to take out multiple single
people fairly quickly.

- I have a theory on how to create a great team, but I've never heard
anyone else talk about it. The best team should consist of 8 people that
 know each other and their play styles. They should be able to cover each
other's flaws and enhance whatever skills and tactic they've already got.
The team should work in a pack, with one or two people taking up a spray,
 grenadier or sniper position. With these people on the sidelines, the
others can engage the opposition in group battle. At least two people
should carry health packs so they can act as a medic if necessary.
Communication is important, so you'll know who is where and how they're
fairing.

- Baiting the enemy is a tactic that every team should learn. Having one
player distract the enemy while a fellow teammate comes up from behind,
or attacks from around a corner, will quickly help to dismember the enemy.
For example, person #1 will lure an enemy towards them, but person #2 is
waiting around the corner with a massive attack ready. Person #2 hits the
enemy and then both persons #1 and #2 riddle the enemy with bullets.

- If someone is chasing an enemy and they go into a confined space like a
hallway, try to get to the other side of the hallway and come in from the
other side.

		==========
	 	VB3. Map-specific Tips
	 	==========

- The Mansion stage's lower level is a good place to rack up quick kills.

____              _____
    |____________|
___                ____
   |              |
   |^ #        # ^|
   ||            ||
   || #        # ||
   ||            ||
   || #        # ||
   |  *        *  |
   |_____________ |

On the bottom level there are the walls and the pillars (#s) that run
parallel to them. People will generally cluster up between the walls and
 the pillars, forming a nice straight line for a burst of fire from a
rifle or rocket. The problem with this is where you stand. If you stand
to the north where the hallways lead off to the rooms and the basement,
people will sneak up behind you from the upper level or the basement. I
 have invariably been killed whenever standing there. The best place to
stand is on the south side next to the very last pillar. Stand facing
the pillar, so you can see if anybody is coming down the hall, or is
jumping off the staircase. If you stand back in the nook only facing
the hallway, you will be killed very easily since you won't see people
jumping off the staircase. When you turn lvl 18, immediately buy the
Maxwell LX30. Assuming you're in a game with no other lvl 18s, and you
 try this tactic, you will mow everyone else down.

- The dungeon stage is an excellent place to see who really has skills
 with slashshot. People will intentionally jump over the edge and will
 wallslash (fly) on the wall they dropped over until someone gets near
 them. The person wallslashing will then pop up over the edge,
slashshot the person and drop back down over the edge. Since this can
be done infinitely, it's a great guerilla tactic. The dungeon stage is
an excellent place to learn how to fly and slashshot.

- Since you'll most likely come across a few people who use the previous
 mentioned tactic, there are a few ways to kill them. One way to kill
 them is to get their rhythm down, then launch a rocket at the edge of
the cliff when they're going to pop up. If you're lucky and you timed
correctly, you'll hit them. You can also do this with grenades, but this
requires better timing. The last way to get rid of people is to take the
fight to them; jump over the edge and fly on the wall. Since you're
slashing the wall, you can also hit them. If they happen to be far
below you or above you, slash the wall, dash backwards and fire a shot
at them, then dash forward and slash up the wall again. This move
requires good timing, or else you'll fall into the pit.

- If you go into either the Island or the Dungeon, be wary that people
 will just spam the secondary attacks, even if they aren't over the pit
 areas. Use this to your advantage: recover quickly and hit them back!
 Back yourself into a nook in a wall if you're in the Island,
especially on the lower ledges in the pit area. The only place you'll
 be uppercutted is into the wall, where you can recover from the fall
and start again.

	 	==========
		VB4. Weapon-specific Tips
	 	==========

- Inevitably someone will ask me what weapon combination is best. No
particular combination is best; it really depends on your personal
playing style. The most often seen combinations I've seen are...

	Shotgun, rifle (close/far): This is an okay general
 setup since it provides both in-close and long range firepower, and
can be used for any particular style of play.

	SMGs, rifle (spray combination): These are
great to spray with, but tend to waste ammo very quickly and it's
horrible to do slashshot with. This combination also provides close/far
 firepower.

	Pistols/revolver, shotgun 	(slashshot combination): This
is a good combination. I've seen many pros use this combination and
it's the best to slashshot with since you can use both to do so. This
combination relies on very accurate shooting and doing as much damage
in a single shot as possible. Since this is a relatively light-weight
combination, people also like to add recovery items and grenades onto
this.

	Shotgun, rocketlauncher (Slashshot combination 2): This
is another combination for slashshot I've seen recently and one that
I've now adopted as my own preference for k-Style. Both weapons rely on
 large spread damage to make up for inaccuracy. While
rocketlaunchers aren't good to use close-range, it's not often that
you'll hit yourself if you're doing it right.

	Shotgun, shotgun (close-combat): This is a great
close-combat combination if you know how to swapshot. Switching in
between shotgun #1 and shotgun #2 while firing produces huge damage.
 This is also great for K-Style, but it means you'll have to be closer
to do the maximum damage.

	Machinegun, rocketlauncher (power-house): I've seen this
 combination almost exclusively in naked games, with a few exceptions.
 This is a very heavy combination and you'll have to make up for it
 with wearing light armor, or no armor, depending on accessories.
Spraying with this combination is fun

- Pistols and revolvers are basically the same kind of weapon with
two different specialties; pistols have a larger clip, shoot/reload
faster and are more accurate, but have less power than revolvers.
Revolvers have a smaller clip, take a relatively long time to reload,
but have the strongest single shot of any bullet-using weapon.
Revolvers are also heavier.

-Daggers, swords, and kodachi balance out power and speed:

	POWER------------------>
	Dagger   Kodachi   Sword
        <------------------SPEED

	Daggers are the quickest melee and can stab very quickly,
 but are weak weapons. The secondary attack is a push-thrust. This
can be used to knock people over.

	Kodachi are a pair of swords and are slower than daggers, but
stronger. The secondary attack is a spinning slash that launches the
enemy into the air. Kodachi are usually heavier.

	Swords are stronger than kodachi, but are slower with regular
 slashes. The secondary slash is faster The secondary attack is an upward
 slash that launches an enemy into the hair.

- If someone knocks you down or juggles you, immediately press the
spacebar (jump). You will flip out of it and land on your feet. You
cannot control the fall unfortunately, and while this won't save you
from falling into pits, it will save you from being daggered repeatedly.
 I love using this against people who make daggering their style,
because they will still aim for the place on the ground where they
 expected you to fall. Landing and unleashing a pointblank blast from
a shotty or a staccato from a rifle will do wonders.

- If being repeatedly daggered by someone, start attempting to dash
 while still on the ground. Dash so that you will not be in his
dagger's path. Hopefully when you begin to get up, you'll slide away
from him before he can get the stab in. Even if he/she manages to hit
you when you slide out, you'll have more time to recover. If you're
hitting space (jump) when you attempt to slide out, there's a good
chance you'll recover right away even if you get hit again. Always
remember that pressing space will save you from being daggered.

- Once you turn lvl 18, the Maxwell LX30 is a must. With a 40 round
clip, 160 bullet cache, and fastest rate of fire of any gun up to
that point, it is the best automatic you'll get until later.

- You cannot equip two of the same weapon in both slots, i.e. you
can't equip two Breaker 7s.

- If you're using an official crosshair, notice how it gets larger when
you fire? This is recoil. All guns in the game recoil, and this affects
aim, especially on SMGs. A good way to increase your chances of hitting
your opponent is to do short bursts if your gun has automatic fire (SMGs,
 assault rifles machineguns), or pausing in between single shots (pistols,
 revolvers)

-Frag Grenades are a waste unless you're throwing them into a crowd. Fighting
one-on-one with this is almost useless, because since the enemy's
attention is focused solely on you, grenades will be very noticable. Now,
lobbing them around corners to flush people out or into crowds of people
fighting, is a much better way to put them to use.

-Flashbangs (flash grenade) are nuisances, not deadly, inefficient, and don't
particularly help. While they may serve as a good distraction for you to
 escape if you're low on health, using them offensively is a waste of
weight. Most people when hit with a flashbang will randomly dash and jump
 everywhere to avoid getting hit until the effects wear off. I've even
managed to kill 2 people while blinded by flashbangs

-Smoke grenades, along with being not deadly, are utterly useless and
cause the game to lag. People can just rush through the smoke and
continue fighting, or they can just watch their crosshairs until it turns
 red, indicating they're aimed at an enemy, and shoot through the smoke.
 If you must use them, toss three instead of one, because it covers a
much larger area.

- Many people say that rocketlaunchers are only mid-range weapons. I
disagree. They can be used at mid-range or long-range, provided you like
sniping, or have very good timing.

- If you're one-on-one with someone and use some sort of automatic, don't
just hold down on the trigger and hope you'll hit them. You'll waste ammo
quickly, and your accuracy will be way off. Instead, fire short bursts and
fire only when you're sure you'll hit.

- The key to using heavy weapons like the machinegun and rocketlauncher is
to swap them in and out quicky for melee, so you can keep moving at a fast
pace. You can't wallrun with them in use, but you can if you're using a
melee.

		==========
		VB5. Tactics
		==========

	-stun N' Gun: This is a fairly easy tactic to use. While equipped
with a sword or kodachi, charge up for a massive strike. Hiding around
corners work well, because it provides cover and surprise. Dash up to your
opponent and hit them with the massive strike, then immediately switch to
your gun and shoot them from point-blank range while they're stunned. A
shotgun or rifle usually does well, because they can do significant damage
 in a short period of time. If your enemy is also using a sword, block
their slash to use the massive strike.

	-Spray N' Pray: Not much of a tactic, so much as just shooting
wildly with a fast weapon. It's best used by shooting into a crowd of
people, or people who have lined up nicely. For the most part, this tactic
 is a waste of time, because the shot-to-kill ratio is so high. You might
get lucky and manage to kill a few people, but that's the extent of it.
One of the best places to do this are hallways and corridors.

	-Sniping: Some might call it camping, but sniping suffices. Pick a
spot that gives you a tactical advantage, like someplace high (GIVE UP, I
HAVE THE HIGHGROUND!), or behind an object. Wait for an enemy to come by
and shoot them. The high ledges in the Island map and the Dungeon are an
example. Rifles are good for this because of their long-range accuracy.
While rocketlaunchers are meant for mid-range combat, you can use these
too. They are very slow to use however, and you should time your shots
well.

VI. Korean Style (K-Style), from the Advanced Techniques FAQ
----------

	Korean players are admired for their highly agile style of play, and
you should mimic them. Kevin Dino (Gaiablade37@charter.net) has been kind
enough to allow me to post his Advanced Techniques FAQ here, for the sake of
 keeping all this great information in one place. The Advanced Techniques
FAQ version is 1.1 as of this guide. All credit is given to Kevin and people
 who have contributed to his FAQ.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
     		      6-1. In-general Advanced Techniques
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------
VI-1a. Jump Dashing
------

	This technique is generally the most basic of advanced movement.
You should always be moving like this if you plan to get better. You move
VERY fast compared to regular running. And you might be saying, "Why don't
I just tumble. It's easier." It may be easier, but while jumping and dashing,
You move at a constant speed, you are harder to hit, and the biggest reason
is because you have a lot more control over your character. A melee dash is
VERY short as compared to a tumble, thus, more maneuverability. Also, you can
perform all other advanced moving techniques only with melee, so thus, even
more maneuverability. And plus, since you're jumping more, you're harder to
hit. It is pretty easy, too. Melee equipped, BTW for most of these techniques.

	[Jump Dashing] Melee equipped:

		1. Hold W(or if you set forward to a different key, then that)
		2. Jump (while holding W)
		3. Dash (double tap W)
		4. When landed, Jump (holding W)
		5. Repeat from step 3.

	Key press: W > Space > double tap > Space > double tap W > Space
                   o---->         o---->         o---->

	(The --->s mean that you hold the button the "o" is on when you press
	 the button the arrow is under)

	The reason why you must hold your direction when you jump is to
maintain your speed during your jump. If you don't hold it, you will notice
that you will lose speed during your jump after the dash.

	PS: This can be used for any direction. And phew, that was long for
		such a simple technique... can't wait for Wall running...

------
VI-1b. Melee Cancel
------

	A melee cancel is when you cancel the neutrality by slashing after a
wall run or wall jump. Also, slashing before a dash enables you to look in
all directions instead of the regular fixed angle that is given when you dash.
This generally enables you to do another moving action after a wall run or
wall jump. As you have done before, you cannot control yourself after you
flip off of a wall jump or wall run. Slashing after you flip off the wall
cancels that neutrality, and you are able to look and move freely, as well
as being able to dash, and even wall jump or wall run again. Also, canceling
works will all melee weapons.

------
VI-1c. Multiple Wall Jumping
------

	After learning the jump dash, this may be a little easier for you.
This technique will enable you to pretty much "fly." I'm pretty sure you've
seen some people bouncing and slashing off walls and moving at the same
time. That is multiple wall jumping. Although you might not see the chara-
cter flip, they are wall jumping. So you're pretty much jumping off the
wall again and again for this technique. With this, you can reach high
areas MUCH faster. Get creative with this technique. Very useful.

	[Multiple Wall Jumping] Melee equipped:

		1. Jump toward wall
		2. [Right after you]Press space, slash with your melee ASAP!
		   (this cancels the neutrality after the flip)
		3. Dash toward wall directly after slash
		4. Wall jump again (space bar)
		5. Repeat from step 2.

	Key press: (starting from a wall jump)
		W > Space > Space(wall jump) > left click > dash > space etc.
		o---->

	(The --->s mean that you hold the button the "o" is on when you press
	 the button the arrow is under)

	You will have mastered this if you can see your character not
even flipping. All you should see is your character slashing and bouncing
off of the wall. The wall jump and slash should be almost pressed together,
but the slash can come before or after the wall jump as it really doesn't
matter. If you find your character actually flipping, then there is room
for improvement as you are doing it too slow.

	You might want to find a nice big wall to practice this on, like
in the battle arena or in town. Once you have got the feel for this, try
applying this everywhere. You can pretty much jump anywhere you want with
this technique if there's a wall near-by, and you can dodge bullets MUCH
easier. Try mixing some stuff up. I'm telling you how to do it, now you
have to apply it to battle and make it work! Practice makes perfect!

	PS: Yet again, this also can be used in any direction, even going
		backwards, thus replacing W with S, etc.

------
VI-1d. Multiple Wall Running
------

	This is a pretty hard technique to master. Heck, even I can't do
it sometimes. So don't give up or smash your head if you can't do it in
one day. You just have to be constantly practicing this stuff. In fact,
most of this stuff, you won't be able to get it all in one day. No way.
Unless you play for 24 hours and get really hardcore.

	So... Multiple wall running is... well... multiple wall running.
You execute a wall run, and right when you flip off, slash to cancel
neutrality, dash towards the wall in a diagonal angle, then double tap space.
Sounds easy? It might be to you, but for most people(like me), it's frickin'
hard...

	[Multiple Wall Running] Melee equipped:

		1. Execute wall run
		2. Jump off(by pressing space during wall run, or if it
		    automatically makes you jump off.)
		3. Slash with melee
		4. Dash (towards the wall at a diagonal angle, and make sure
		    you are not looking up or down, directly center diagonally
		    at the wall)
		5. When you hit the wall, double tap space
		6. Repeat from step 2.

	Key press: (starting from a wall run)
		W > Space > (space)  >  slash > dash > double tap space
			   ^Optional^

	(The "optional" refers to if you jump off the wall yourself by
	 pressing space, or if you just let the AI autojump for you from
	 hitting the end of the wall or because you did a wall run too long.

	Yes, yes, looks easy, yet it is nothing near it when you try to learn
it. Lots of practice for this one. Practicing Multiple Wall Jumping helps.
You'll probably need some nice clean walls to practice this, like in the
battle arena and town. If you can't get the double space part right, then here
might be some of your problems: 1. You are facing the wall up or down. You
can't wall jump nor wall run when you face up or down. You must face the wall
directly centered. 2. You're pressing space too early. 3. Your angle at the
wall is not right. Also, pressing space multiple times instead of twice might
help you get the prespective of it. And if you all you're doing is wall jump-
ing, then try to press space right after the wall jump. That SHOULD work.
There's nothing else I can really say. It's all up to you to do it and how
you apply it in combat.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
		     6-2. Advanced Attacking Techniques
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------
VI-2a. Butterfly
------

	You may have seen some people Jump dash at you with a sword, and see
their sword move in a weird way. If it was a girl, it looked like the sword
spun left and right. This technique is called the butterfly. It is when you
slash and guard very quickly while jump dashing. If you can do it right, you
can kill those swordie newbs in no time. Also, this only works with the sword
and kodachis, since the knife cannot block. Here we go!

	[Butterfly] Melee equiped:

		1. Do jump dash(jump, dash)
		2. Right after double tapping W, slash
		3. Right after slash, block
		4. Repeat from step 1.

	Key press: W > space > double tap W > slash > block > repeat

	Again, it sounds pretty easy, but it's actually kinda hard since
you're adding in 2 new steps from a jumping step and aiming at your opponent.
When you do it in a game, you will find it's usefulness. And not only for
gladiator games, but for real games, as you will be able to block incoming
shots. It's attacking and guarding at almost the same time, what more can you
want?

	Try to master this bad boy. Mastering in meaning being able to do this
VERY fast and consecutively. From my own experiences against korean pros,
I have been killed only by their mad fast butterfly skills, and that was
a game with guns, too. So mastering this and able to execute fast = ownage.

	PS: Can be used in all directions.

------
VI-2b. Slashshot
------

	Ahhhhhh yes, the "Slashshot." This technique is the basis of attacking
of all korean-style players. This is what pretty much makes a korean-style
player. You're probably wondering what's so good about it. Well... I'll number
it for ya.

1. You can move at fast speeds and attack.(Thus dodging and shooting. TONS
	better than tumbling)
2. If you're close, the slash kicks in and stuns opponent for 0.5 seconds,
	leaving him/her open for a nice shot. Or they just get a nice gash.
3. You can easily confusing opponents on your location if you move fast.

	Once mastered, you will pretty much kill everyone who doesn't know
how to do it, unless the other person knows how to, they have range weapons
and can get away from you, or if they can JSD(Jump shoot dash). Well,
here's how to do the wicked thing.

	[Slashshot] Melee equipped:

		1. Do jump dash(jump, dash)
		2. Right after double tapping W, slash and HOLD left click
	       3a. Switch to desired weapon, and still holding left click
	       3b. The gun should auto-shoot
	       3c. By the time you auto-shoot, you should have hit the ground.
		    Jump once you hit the ground.
		4. Switch to sword
		5. Repeat from step 1.

	Key press:
    W > space > double tap W > slash > switch to gun > jump > switch to melee
				o----------->

	(The --->s mean that you hold the button the "o" is on when you press
	 the button the arrow is under)

	It doesn't look easy. And it's not. Aiming while executing this
Technique is very hard. Also, movement is very hard, as you will find your-
self moving only forward while doing this, making you an automatic weapon
magnet. Mastering it during practice might be pretty easy, but applying it in
battle is not... if you play hardcore for hours, you will master it within a
day or a few, but if not... It'll be something you'll eventually do.
Probably one of the best techniques in the game. In-fact, it probably is the
best technique in the game. Every gun may apply to this.

	If you are hitting the ground when you shoot, that is fine. Once
you hit the ground, jump, switch to sword, dash, slash, etc. etc. So don't
worry if you're hitting the ground before you shoot. Many people ask this
question and think they're doing it wrong, it's supposed to be like that
and jump when you hit the ground.

	When doing this, you should approach the enemy at a diagonal or side
angle. If you move directly forward, the foe probably has a rifle and will
nail you with every shot. Also, when you're close, it gets VERY hard to aim
as you are moving up and down. Also, when you execute this, keep repeating it
over and over for it to be effective. That's why you see many good players
moving and dashing all over the place, and they still hit you. If you pause
during any step(Like when you land and forget to jump) and it happens
often, this technique would be rendered pretty much useless. This is the main
focus of the slashshot, slashing, shooting, and mad movement at the same time.
Try to mix up your movements when battling. Good luck trying to learn
and master this.

	If you have a hard time aiming during a slashshot, a way to practice
is to make your own game, find an object to aim for at a reasonable range,
then slashshoot away. Many people prefer to aim for windows in the town
level. Also, as for straight up point blank shots while doing the SS, try
not to aim downward. If you aim straight, you actually might have a chance
to hit them and maybe even other people.

	PS: Can be used in all directions.

	 Jump during dash > slash (timing is pretty easy) > change
to weapon to shoot > switch to sword and dash in another direction or the
same direction

The idea of this SS is that the quick dash gains you velocity, and you
propel forward or whichever direction. This SS style allows you to lose only
a minimal amount of speed and also give you a running or chasing chance.
Also during the slash and the transition of weapons, you can cancel the shot
and change to the sword quickly in mid air and dashing off or wall running.
This type of SS gives me a great amount of edge against sprayers and other
SSers because I can predict their movements to dash away or shoot to kill.

Tip for aiming during SS - I don't know if it applies to all people but,
when you are changing and the weapon begins to draw out, move your screen in
a sweeping motion (left to right or right to left). This allows you to sweep
the area of an enemy and shoot where he/she/it is (and I mean during
movement). For some reason instead of just firing my SS, I find that I can
immediately hit a moving object right away by doing this sweeping motion.

Tips on SS timing - Now for the Jump Dash > Slash part is easy, but when you
slash don't wait till it finishes. Just switch right away if you pressed the
slash. This will make the arm move in a sword manner with guns equipped.
When you fire make sure that you see the flash of the Gun, before or a
second later will make you vulnerable in the last stage of the SS. When you
see the flash switch immediately to a sword.

I know these are crappy tips but hope it helps ^_^;;;;

VI-2c. JSD(Jump, shoot, dash)
------

	I'm sure you've never heard of this technique before, but if you've
ever played with me(Linaus), it's a technique I use. It is called "Jump,
Shoot, Dash." I made this technique myself, and i've never seen anyone else
do it. It is an easier alternative to the slashshot. It works very well
if you can aim, it's a lot easier to learn, and it's not bad either. I am
able to kill slashshooters with this technique myself. Although, I don't
really use it anymore since I can slashshoot, but still, if you're willing
to give this a try, go for it, it's a good tech. So, it pretty much
goes like this: Jump, shoot, dash, repeat.

	[JSD] Melee equiped:

		1. Jump
		2. Switch to desired weapon
		3. Shoot
		4. Switch to sword
		5. Dash (in mid-air)
		6. Repeat from step 1.

	Key press:
    Space > switch to weapon > shoot > switch to melee > dash(in mid-air)

	It sounds easier, and it is easier, although it might be hard for
some people. I've you've played any fast-paced FPS extensively(CS doesn't
count, but Half-Life does), you SHOULD be able to find this technique easy
to learn.

	As you see, the technique does not have a slash, a hold, nor a
dash before the slash, so it's a lot more basic. This is effective, too.
If you move and aim very aggressively(like me) while doing this, you should be
able to compete with the slashshot. In general though, the slashshot is a lot
better, but a lot harder to use. The JSD is easier to learn, easier to use,
and pretty effective.

	Just be sure you keep moving like the slashshot. Jump, shoot, sword-
dash, land and jump again, shoot, sword-dash. Over and over, just like
the slashshot. Remember that the shot and sword dash must be in mid-air. When
you land, jump and repeat. I told you it's pretty much an alternative...
And remember to always mix up your movements. Moving directly forward toward
the enemy makes you a very easy target. Also, try to move as fast as you
can. Have fun using this technique!

	PS: Can be used in all directions.

------
VI-2d. Half Step
------

	Now that I have actually learned this technique myself, I can see
how effective it can be. But, if I can actually apply the stupid thing in
combat and master it, then great... But, I still haven't even mastered
the slashshot... But anyways, the half step is basically the slashshot,
but except when you land after slashing, you ground dash(with melee) in any
direction then switch and auto-shoot. Very confusing, but I will explain
it further.

	[Half Step] Melee equipped :

		1. Jump
		2. Dash(Double tap W)
		3. Slash and hold
	       4a. Switch to desired weapon
	       4b. Once you land, do not jump, dash in any direction
	       4c. Auto-shoot occurs.
	       4d. The dash(without windstreaks and with gun) occurs.
		5. Repeat from step 1.

	Key press:
	Space > double tap W > Slash > Switch > Dash(once landed) > auto-shot
                                 o-------------------------------------->

	(The --->s mean that you hold the button the "o" is on when you press
	 the button the arrow is under)

	The reason why there is 4a, b, c, and d is because these steps occur
around the same time. In this technique, you must be VERY fast, especially if
you plan on doing the technique consistently.

	So what SHOULD happen is that you jump, dash, slash(hold), switch,
then once you land, dash in any direction. You should have auto-shot once you
landed and when you dash when landed, the wind streaks from the dash should
not be visible, and you will move at dash speed immediately after the shot
with your gun in the direction you dashed. If you tumbled, then you did it
too slow. This technique does not have tumbling in it. You must remind your-
self that step 4 must be done VERY quickly all together.

	To know if you're doing it right, you should see yourself shoot
right when you land(also at the end of the first dash), and then immediately
after the auto-shot, you should move to the direction you dashed toward
on the ground with no wind streaks with your gun out. Be reminded that
this must be a dash without wind streaks, not a tumble. I hope you understood
all of that! Have fun trying to learn this bad boy. If you're accustomed to
the slashshot, you'll find yourself jumping when you land!

	PS: Can be used in all directions.

Simple?! Are you kidding me?!

VI-2e. Light Step
------

Input from: phonomenon (On GFAQs)

	Light step AKA Silent dash

	Light step is a technique that one of Korean's partner uses
exclusively, because it is only good if you can do it well. Err... I believe
Korean explained it as so:

	[Light Step] Melee Equipped:

Jump -> Slash -> Switch -> Melee -> Dash -> Slash -> Switch -> Melee -> Dash

("Switch" refers to switch to switch to any weapon/item.
 "Melee" refers to switch to melee weapon.)

	All in one jump, there are two weapon changes from sword to SG and
back, and two dashes.

	PS: Can be used in all directions.

(From Dino: I don't know what exactly this technique is used for, but...
whatev'z... I guess it's for... dashing silently?)

	Pistol: A fair-damage weapon with decent repeat rate; often
 a starting weapon. They are fairly accurate, more accurate than
revolvers but not as threatening on the damage scale. They have a
decent critical rate. The weapon's greatest strength is that it is
 adequate in close, mid and long ranges.

- The Good: Larger clip than revolvers, quicker fire.
- The Bad: Does less damage than revolvers.

		VIIA2. Revolvers
		==========

	Revolver: A high-damage weapon with few rounds. They have an
 incredibly good critical rate, often ignoring AP entirely. Can be
dual wielded. An alternative series of Revolvers, the Dynax series,
 offers higher clip size and refire rate at the cost of some damage.
 They are somewhat accurate and thus can be used fairly well at close
 and long range, but their real strength lies in mid range combat.

- The Good: Large damage per bullet.
- The Bad: Heavier than pistols, slower.

		VIIA3. Shotguns
		==========

	Shotgun: This weapon blasts out 12 low-damage pellets at a
 slow refire rate. The standard shotgun is called the "Breaker".
The advanced version, the "Avenger", displays much higher firepower
 at the expense of reduced ammo. The weapon is very inaccurate.
Shotgun blasts are soaked up easily by AP due to the low critical
 rate on the pellets. Close tomid range, and its potential and
damage are highest in close range combat.

- The Good: Very powerful in close range combat, good for k-Style.
- The Bad: Low ammo capacity, range-limited.

		==========
		VIIA4. SMGs
		==========

	Submachine gun (SMG): Sprays out bullets at low accuracy at
a 80 to 120ms delay. The dual wield versions are very powerful during
 the first 10 levels or so. Multiple different models offer different
 fire rates, weapon damage, accuracy, weight and clip size. They are
close to mid range weapons, as they are hard to dodge at mid-range
due to the "damage cone". It's often used in deathmatches.

- The Good: Fast spray, good damage.
- The Bad: Heavy, and most accurate from close range due to spray.

		VIIA5. Rifles
		==========

	Assault rifle: The most accurate weapon also has the
 pleasure of having the gun with the best fire rate. The most
accurate and quick to fire model, the Maxwell, is also the most
 popular, although other models offer more damage per bullet and
 varying clip sizes. It does decent damage and is suitable at
close and mid range, although it is most useful at long range.

- The Good: Good fire rates, good for putting a bullet *THERE*
- The Bad: Eats ammo quickly.

		==========
		VIIA6. Rocketlauncher
		==========

	Rocket Launcher: Shoots high damaging rockets that do
splash damage with a low critical rate, and thus soaked up easily
by AP. There are two versions, a high-ammo, mid-damage lighter
model set with a decent fire rate, and a low-ammo, high-damage
heavier model set with a slower fire rate. The user cannot run
up walls and recieves a movement speed penalty of -10%. Strictly
 a mid range weapon, as being too close may result in damaging
oneself and being too far makes it very predictable. It's often
used in deathmatches.

- The Good: Large area of splash damage.
- The Bad: Slow rate of fire, heavy. No wall runs, -10% speed.

		VIIA7. Machinegun
		==========

	Machinegun: The biggest automatic weapon is available
only to characters who have achieved levels 25 and higher. The
user cannot run up walls and recieves a movement speed penalty of
 -10%. This gun is the most inaccurate machine gun, shooting at
medium delay, but the biggest advantage is its huge clip size --
it rarely, if ever, needs to reload, and thus can be held down
 and fired for a very long time before needing to reload. There
 is only one model, and each new machinegun simply increases the
 damage dealt per bullet by 1. Close to mid range weapon,
particularly because they are hard to dodge at mid-range due to
the "damage cone". It's often used in deathmatches.

- The Good: Decent fire rate, rarely needs to be reloaded.
- The Bad: Heavy; no wallruns, -10% speed. Long reload time.

	VIIB. Melee
	==========

		==========
		VIIB1. Dagger
		==========

	Dagger: Stabs opponents. The primary attack is a stab and
can has uses from stopping enemies from attacking, persuading enemies
 to draw their melee weapon or infinitely stabbing enemies in a
corner. The alternate attack is a lunge that knocks your opponent
back severely and leaves him open for enemy fire, although this
attack has terrible recovery and can easily be safe-falled. You can
use it to climb walls by jumping at a wall and right clicking.
Close range. Daggers cannot block.

		==========
		VIIB2. Sword
		==========

	Sword: Slashes at opponents. The primary attack is a normal
slash which can be done four times for an attack string. The
alternate attack is an uppercut that sends your opponent flying into
 the air (they cannot move even if they safe-fall in mid-air, and
thus uppercutting people off into pits is a popular tactic,
particularly in Dungeon where there are many suitable spots where
 the player is nearly invincible as long as he/she is uppercuting),
 which leaves your enemies prone mid air or on the floor if they
did not safe fall, where they can be shot or followed up with a
mid-air attack. You can use it to climb walls by jumping at a
wall and right-clicking. Close range.

		==========
		VIIB3. Kodachi
		==========

	Kodachi: Two swords instead of one. The primary attack
consists of a very quick slash with very low delay that can be
repeated often if timed correctly, or can be done five times as
an attack string. The alternate attack is a quick cross-slash that
 knocks your enemies into the air much like a sword uppercut. It
has shorter range than normal swords. You can use it to climb walls
 by jumping at a wall and right-clicking. Close range.

		==========
		VIIC1. Frag Grenades
		==========

	Frag Grenade: Thrown and after a set amount of time blows up,
 dealing damage to anyone in the vicinity of the explosion. At full
 health it is almost impossible to be killed by a single grenade
unless you are standing on the grenade with 100 HP and 0 AP.

		==========
		VIIC2. Flash Grenade
		==========

	Flash Grenade: Bursts into a flash of light, blinding and
deafening anyone in the vicinity.

		==========
		VIIC3. Smoke Grenade
		==========

	Smoke Grenade: Releases a cloud of smoke, blurring the vision
 of that area. It also has the effect of making the area "laggy", and
if someone were to wallclimb near the area, they would lose control
and fall if not careful.

VIII. Glitches
----------

- The Island is full of invisible floors, especially on ledges.

- One of the small wooden bridges on the Island map has an invisible floor
 right under the edge of the hole.

- When you uppercut someone on the ground, it makes the "connect" noise
but does no damage.

- Many small alleys, especially in the Town map, are full of zero-g spots.
You can cartwheel between the walls repeatedly and never touch ground.
You'll float in between the two walls, flipping over and over. You can also
wallslash between them repeatedly.

- Floating: Jump off a high object and wait about 2 seconds. Your character
 will begin to freefall. If you start rapidly tapping forward (or any
direction), your characters animation will be locked and will appear to be
floating.

- Wallrun Pause: Charge up a massive strike, and wallrun up the wall on a
flight of stairs. Unleash the massive strike once your character is
touching the stairs when they run. Your character should freeze in place for
 about 2-3 seconds but their legs will still be running. For an added glitch,
when you freeze, continue holding left-click and swap out your sword for a
gun. When you eventually jump off the wall, your gun will swap out and fire.
If you continue slashing with your sword, you should cancel the direction
and be able to land on another surface.

- If you wallrun on the Dungeon's stairs, you'll run across the doorway like
it was a wall! You can even pause on the doorway too, just like it was a wall.
